Five Star Autocentre recommends the following tips to make your car clutch last longer;
• Always try to release the handbrake gradually as you lift the clutch and press the accelerator
• Prevent wearing out the friction surface on the clutch. When doing a hill start don’t hold the car on a hill by slipping the clutch for longer than absolutely necessary
• Prevent the bearings on your clutch being worn out by not resting your foot on the clutch pedal while driving
• For the same reason above when you are at the traffic lights don’t leave the car in gear with your foot on the clutch
• Make sure the reservoir fluid is well topped up for hydraulic clutch control brake systems
